Julian is a qualified Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. Currently the Technical Director of Green Quarter; where he manages a team of sustainability consultants. He graduated from Monash University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have since worked in the building services sector for the past 16 years. His design skills includes air-conditioning and ventilation, plumbing, vertical transportation and fire protection services. The past 12 years of his career were focused on sustainability, commissioning and green building design, where he is constantly innovating cost-effective ways of reducing the carbon footprint of buildings. He is a qualified GBI Facilitator and GreenRE Accredited Professional. Julian is also highly proficient in energy and daylight simulation using IES VE software

After more than 18 years of experience in the building engineering and architecture industry, Farizan made her move into the green building consultancy after realizing the gap between business and sustainability in the South East Asian market. She leads the team at GreenA and has an outstanding project portfolio managing local and international projects.

Farizan is a certified Green Mark Professional, LEED consultant, and is GRI trained. In 2015, she won the BCA- SGBC Green Advocate Award.

Azril Amir Jaafar graduated from the University of Manchester, UK. He worked at Brock Carmichael Architects in Liverpool, Holford Associates in Manchester and TR Hamzah and Yeang in Kuala Lumpur before joining VERITAS in 1999.

Azril is a corporate member of Malaysian Institute of Architects and a Green Building Index Facilitator. His professional development growth has been in tandem with the growth of the company; he became Senior Architect in 2004, an Associate in 2007 and in 2009 he was promoted to become a Principal of VERITAS Design Group.

Azril’s interest in architecture and passion for producing outstanding design has won VERITAS many awards and competitions. This includes ASEAN Energy award 2018, National Energy awards 2018, Cityscape Global awards, Dubai (2017), PAM Gold award (2017), the new PKNS Headquarters Architectural Competition (2010), CNBC / Arabian Properties Quality Award for the most outstanding / creative design (2007), Dubai Islamic Bank Headquarters Architectural Competition (2006), Putrajaya Precinct 4G Architectural competition (2000), National Library Singapore (1999), CDM Competition, Salford, England (1998), International Student Design Competition, Korea (1997). Many of his work have been published in local and international publications.

He has spoken widely on design and sustainable architecture. In 2011 he was selected as one of the leading young architects in Malaysia, in a ‘30 under 40’ shortlist compiled by the Malaysian Institute of architects.

Hans is currently helping large corporations define and meet their Net Zero ambitions. Integral to the roadmaps are transition strategies to improve energy, water and resource efficiency, waste management, (embodied) carbon accounting, and carbon offset strategies. Ar. Clement is a Principal Architect registered under Board of Architect Malaysia (LAM). Graduated from University of Melbourne in 1999, he has 16 years of experience in various housing, commercial and institution projects. He is the founder of Clement Wong Architecture and also the leader of the Company’s Project Management Team which role and responsibility is to oversee the full cycle of the project, and to provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC).

This firm focusing on sustainable design and a touch of creativity and the projects consist of residential, institutions, commercials, highrise and resorts. Clement Wong Architecture also focus on green building design and productively engage in global community. They also provide an office space for research and design experiment including vertical garden, rain water harvest, sustainable construction methods and low carbon footprint material.

An active REHDA member 1998, Ir Tiah is currently the REHDA Secretary General and REHDA Exco member. With over 25 years’ experience in the engineering and housing and construction field, Ir Tiah is also involved in various government agencies and working committees in relation to housing policies, regulations and procedural matters.

He sits on the Board of Directors for the Construction Labour Exchange Centre Berhad (CLAB) under CIDB, and other CIDB working committees to improve the quality of the construction industry in Malaysia. Ping is a qualified barrister and solicitor. Since leaving legal practice in 2003, she has worked in property development and management in Malaysia and has extensive experience in managing shopping centres and office buildings under her family business. Built under the group, the 1 First Avenue office tower was awarded the first Gold-rated commercial green building certification in Malaysia in 2012. Since then, the 1 Powerhouse / Avante Hotel TOD integrated development has achieved GreenRE Gold certification and Centro Mall a GreenRE Bronze certification. Centro Mall is also the first green certified building in the Royal town of Klang. As Secretary General of REHDA Malaysia, she also represents the views of the property development industry on the GreenRE Technical Panel.

Ir. Ashwin Thurairajah is a Professional Engineer and Executive Director of GreenRE Sdn Bhd. Ir. Ashwin Thurairajah speaks frequently in workshops / seminars on the topics of green development and low carbon design. He has contributed to research papers pertaining to distributed generation and renewable energy solutions for residential applications.

Joseph holds a Doctoral Degree (Green Building) from the University of Malaya. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional, a GBI Facilitator and a GreenRE Accredited Professional (GreenREAP).

Jason is currently the committee of Rehda Youth and Rehda Pahang. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Electronics(Robotics and Automation), and a Diploma in Civil Engineering. He has close to 15 years of experience in engineering covering ACMV, Automation, Property development, and C&S consultancy. He is also a GreenREAP.

Dr Stellios is a renowned pioneer of sustainable design with a particular focus on the long-term effects of the Built Environment on human health, society, climate change, and land use. He co-authored the first guidebook on sustainable design in China, which is now used as a textbook at Tongji University in Shanghai and the University of Nottingham in the UK.

Over the past two decades, Dr Stellios has provided consultation for over 80 projects across Asia, Australia, and Europe. His notable projects include the Crystal Palace Park Masterplan in London, the American University of Beirut with Zaha Hadid, the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2, the new Doha International Airport Extension, PETRONAS Headquarters in Kerteh, the world’s second-tallest building Merdeka PNB 118 in Kuala Lumpur, and Paya Lebar Central Masterplan in Singapore.

In recognition of his contributions to sustainability, he was awarded the Best Sustainability Business Leader in the Europa Awards in 2017.

Lee Yuen How received his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia in year 2007. Ir. Lee is a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), a Professional Engineer registered to Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM). He is also GREENRE AP, Green Building Index (GBI) Facilitator and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional in Operation & Maintenance (O&M)). Ir. Lee is a Registered Electrical Energy Manager (REEM) by the Energy Commission. He is also a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) and Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) registered with the Association of Energy Engineers, USA.

He is a Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia Grid-Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) design qualified person (QP). In addition, he is a member of the Technical Committee for the Malaysian Standards in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging.

Rubern Chandran is the Senior Manager for Sustainability Operations at Sime Darby Property. His current role focuses on the execution of the Group’s Sustainability Strategy and covering aspects of green building certification, energy efficiency, renewable energy, embodied carbon and construction sustainability.

His 15-year experience in the built environment also encompasses stints at Lendlease and CIMB, where he played a key role in advancing the environmental sustainability agenda, particularly for The Exchange TRX project by Lendlease. His previous accreditations include LEED Accredited Professional, WELL Accredited Professional, and GBI Facilitator and he also served on the board of the Malaysia Green Building Council.

Leong has been with Gamuda Land Sdn Bhd for over 11 years. Leong holds a Master of Business Administration from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. As the Head of the Sustainability Unit at Gamuda Land Sdn Bhd, Leong leads green building implementation, project management, and strategic sustainability communications. With extensive experience in sustainability, Leong has driven key initiatives like the Low Carbon City Framework, green building frameworks, and the implementation of solar PV and EV chargers. Previously, Leong held roles in business transformation and project management, contributing significantly to Gamuda Land's sustainable development goals.

Kevin Hor is a registered professional engineer as well as a registered electrical energy manager. He holds two degrees from Imperial College London and has been extensively involved in the energy and environment sector. He has a track record with various energy efficiency projects where he was responsible for developing energy efficiency financing and incentive models, development of policy papers and has a proven track record in implementation of “low cost/no cost” and investment energy saving measures. He has successfully financed and is in the midst of implementing multiple energy performance contracts in Malaysia. He has successfully commissioned photovoltaic projects in Malaysia and has also been involved in some of the most complex billion-ringgit infrastructure projects in Malaysia and has extensive experience in the green building industry. Having GreenRE and Green Building Index, MyCrest, Measurement and Verification and Certified Energy Auditor certifications he has worked on numerous energy efficient industrial, commercial and residential building designs, standard development and was the leader of a national building sector energy efficiency project funded by UNDP/GEF in Malaysia. He now works on the developing active facilities management solutions incorporating the Internet of Things into building automation and energy efficient systems.

An Environmental Sustainable Design (ESD) professional with over 14 years of experience in the built environment sector. Chin Hong contributed significantly to landmark green building projects across commercial buildings from office to residential, complemented by credentials including REEM (registered Electrical Energy Manager and Green Mark Accredited Professional.

As current Chin Hong leads Energy Sustainability in CIMB, driving initiatives, including implementing green building certifications while developing and executing energy optimization strategies that align with reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission to achieve the net zero 20230 target.

Based out of our Kuala Lumpur office, Joshua leads the APAC sustainability team working on projects all over Asia Pacific. He has over 10 years of experience in sustainability leading teams, managing projects and successfully delivering projects of different certification schemes such as LEED, GBI, GreenRE, and Green Mark; and across different types of projects (Office, Data Centre, Hospital, and Residential).

Joshua is passionate about designing buildings that are energy efficient, environmentally sustainable, and focused on the occupant's well-being. Syida Nazri is an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Sustainability Specialist with over eight years of multidisciplinary experience in healthcare, industrial, and governmental sectors. As Head of Sustainability at Airscan Malaysia, she spearheads the implementation of IAQ standards, green building initiatives, and data-driven monitoring frameworks. Syida has led over 1,000 IAQ assessments and facilitated compliance and certification for more than 20 healthcare facilities. Her work integrates environmental science, regulatory alignment, and strategic consultancy.
