This remarkable milestone has been awarded to ten of the company's outlets, underscoring our commitment to sustainable practices.

GreenRE, Malaysia's foremost certification practice for green buildings and infrastructure, has recognized 99 Speedmart's exceptional efforts in various sustainability categories:

Energy Efficiency & Solar Panels: By implementing innovative technologies, including inverter air-conditioners, non-heated glass freezers and solar panels, 99 Speedmart has achieved a remarkable 60% reduction in electricity costs compared to its 2017 data records. This achievement not only enhances energy efficiency but also creates a more comfortable shopping environment for customers.

Occupant Safety and Air Quality: 99 Speedmart has invested in air circulators equipped with ionizer technology and real-time CO2 monitoring devices. These measures ensure a cleaner, safer shopping environment for the well-being of customers and employees.

Green Building Materials: 99 Speedmart is committed to sustainability through the procurement of environmentally friendly building and refurbishing materials, significantly reducing its environmental footprint in future related projects.

In all, the certified outlets have achieved CO2e levels that are more than 60% lower than the national baseline. In addition, 99 Speedmart's sustainability journey has earned GreenRE Platinum certification for its Klang headquarters, showcasing a commendable 20% reduction in CO2e emissions against the baseline. This achievement underscores the company's holistic approach to sustainability, contributing to environmental conservation.

Furthermore, the company's Distribution Centers have achieved GreenRE Silver certification for 2 locations, with an average reduction in CO2e emissions against the baseline exceeding 50%. This serves as a testament to the company's commitment to sustainable practices throughout its supply chain, reducing resource consumption and waste.
