Under Mr. Wong’s visionary leadership, Frangipani Langkawi has introduced and implemented over 200 eco-friendly innovations—many of which are proudly homegrown. These include a natural wastewater treatment system, eco-composting, rainwater harvesting, solar lighting, chemical-free saltwater pools, and even edible landscaping—all seamlessly integrated into the resort’s operations. Additional green efforts such as the use of eco-detergents, waste separation systems, and sustainable building materials make the resort a true living lab for sustainable tourism.

Recognised on both regional and global platforms, The Frangipani Langkawi has received prestigious accolades including the ASEAN Green Hotel Award, the Global Responsible Tourism Award, and was listed by CNN as one of Asia’s greenest hotels. Mr. Wong’s leadership and commitment to long-term environmental stewardship have positioned the resort as a beacon for sustainable hospitality in the region.
