We are delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between GreenRE and Radium Development Berhad, aimed at advancing green building practices across Radium’s developments.
Radium has already proven that it can be committed to sustainability considering impressive milestones:
- Provisional GreenRE Gold rating achieved for R Suites Chancery Residences in Ampang as well as Radium Arena in Old Klang Road.
- Provisional GreenRE Silver rating for Radium Adesa, Sungai Besi.
The focus of this Joint Venture, to foster a sustainable outlook in property development is strengthened by the realization that GreenRE will be the center of compliance to the environmental and quality control measures.
While the signing ceremony preceded the official announcement of the agreement, Datuk Gary Gan, Group Managing Director of Radium, however did have the following to say during the ceremony:
“Every day, it is growing clear that sustainability is something that must be done, rather than something that could be done. Our partnership with GreenRE states our intention to offer support in the construction of such communities, and participate in Malaysia’s green agenda.”
Ir. Ashwin Thurairajah, Executive Director of GreenRE, also emphasized how:
“Such sustainable building practices are not a matter of if, but when and how in our current era. This partnership will leave behind a lasting legacy for stakeholders, and the communities and the environment.”
This would be a focal area of our work as we strive towards achieving Malaysia’s green building appraisals.
