19 January 2024, Shah Alam-The GreenRE team visited CRT Manufacturing and was briefed by the Founder, Steven Ong and Co-Founder, Huang Mei Si, on the unique characteristics and the sustainable benefits of using StarBars, a steel replacement.

STAR BARS is a fibreglass bar with a spiral ribbed profile primarily designed for concrete reinforcement. It is made of fibreglass reinforced with polymer-based epoxy. Ranging from 4mm to 30mm in diameter, STAR BARS can be used in any applications within the construction industry. In many applications, STAR BARS is a superior alternative to conventional steel rebar. In comparison , STAR BARS is stronger, lighter, corrosion resistant and more cost effective.
